How to run a quiz in a Telegram group chat
Share a room link or play directly in the conversation with the bot. Pick the format first: participants answer in different interfaces.
Start a game
- For an app room, open the friends room mode, choose topics and share its link in the chat.
- For questions in the conversation, add the Mindroom bot to the group and check its permission to send messages and required images.
- Open the bot's game menu, set topics and gather players. Help new players complete initial setup before the first question.
- Start the quiz, answer using the offered format and check results and explanations afterwards.
An app room and a chat game
A room holds up to 16 players in the app. Everyone plays individually, receives the same questions and scores for accuracy and speed. In a chat game, the bot posts questions in the conversation. You do not have to add the bot to a group just to share a room link.
Prepare players before the first question
First entry includes language choice and consent. If a player begins this setup during an open question, the question timer keeps running. They may need to submit their answer again after setup; the earlier tap is not accepted automatically.
Chat results and the global league
Chats have their own results. Participation of group answers in the global standings requires separate consent through /global_join; /global_leave excludes future answers. The global league and local chat leaderboard follow separate rules.
Topics to explore
Select the topics offered in the mode's setup. The general catalog does not guarantee that every topic is available in every mode.
